Memories of Yesterday: Studying Hiragana and Katakana
Wednesday, February 20, 2008
Last Monday, my boss asked us to study Hiragana. He told us to study it after lunch and we had to know the whole alphabet by 5pm. So we only had 4 hours. It was unsuccessful though. He was a bit disappointed that he told us that we should know both Hiragana and Katakana the next day.
I felt that I couldn't make it. I stayed up late just to know everything I could. To make everything short. I can now write Hiragana and Katakana after a day of practicing it.
So here's my japanese name...

OK, but when the Japanese guy visits, do you trade notes back and forth?
It seems that a more practical way to study would be to take conversation classes. Has that idea ever come up?
